Before Project Day:
• Have established curb layout in mind
• Pick out curb design and color
• Flag sprinkler heads that are close to where curbing will be installed
• Be sure no lawn services are scheduled on the same day as curb installation
Day of Project:
• Keep pets inside to avoid the fresh concrete from being damaged or marred
• Access to exterior water faucet is needed to mix concrete
• Curbing team will be crossing yard with wheelbarrows, and curbing equipment to lay product
• Excess concrete (slag) will be cleaned up on the front of the curb, but will remain on the back side of the curb for added strength and can be covered with mulch, rock, or soil
• Stamp colors will appear very dull and chalky before concrete is sealed; stamp colors will drastically change to their intended colors once the curbing is sealed
• Curbing will appear darker when first poured compared to the finished dried product
• Curb will set-up and dry within 24 hours
• If there is damage to the finished curb after the Curb Curb team leaves the job site, the homeowner is financially responsible for the cost of fixing the damaged curb starting at $250.00
• Remaining balance owed to Curb Curb will be collected day of installation
After Project Day:
• Curb will be coated with a layer of sealer within 2 week of its original pour, weather permitting
– When sealed, curb will appear slightly darker and the colors and contrast of the curb and pigment will pop
– The sealer will discolor the grass around the curb temporarily for up to 2 weeks, but does not kill it
• Weeds and grass around curb can be managed by running a weed whacker along the edge or by running mower wheel along the curb
• Curb can be re-sealed by contacting Curb Curb for product information
– Sealer will discolor grass temporarily
– It is encouraged to have your curb re-sealed annually for continual color vibrancy
• Curb will not heave or separate at joints due to steel cable reinforcement.
